This week we continue our series we're calling "Just Keep Swimming". We all find ourselves in the precarious, messy middle of this crazy year- 2020. Many of us find ourselves burned out, depressed, anxious, and uncertain about our future. We know we're called to push through despite all these emotions, but how? How do we remain faithful to Jesus when we can barely wake up and face a new day of social distancing? How do we find time for rest when we have to be constantly vigilant and entertaining to our children? How do we not burn out as we are being called to be consistent activists for social justice? Our prayer is that we can answer some of these questions and more in this series.

This week, Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith joins us to discuss how rest is a very important if not essential part of perseverance. Dr. Dalton-Smith is a doctor of Internal Medicine and the author of Sacred Rest In sacred rest and in this conversation, we discuss the 7 types of rest she found in the lives of those in her practice. She expertly ties the science of rest with the spirituality and gifts of rest. If you feel worn out, exhausted and unable to move forward in this time, this conversation is definitely for you! We are so grateful that Dr. Dalton-Smith joined us, and shared her wisdom and expertise with us. We were greatly enriched by this interview and pray you are as well.
