Continuing in our Faith and Doubt series, we talk with author, speaker and musician, Glenna Marshall, about Faith and Doubt as they relate to suffering, unmet expectations and dark nights of the soul. We discuss what it means to feel stripped, for doubt to creep in and how we can fight doubt when we realize that God always promises His presence.

Glenna is a pastor’s wife, mom of two boys, musician, and writer. She has a long-term relationship with infertility which resulted in a long-term relationship with adoption. She has some chronic illnesses and is regularly learning to trust the Lord with her life, one day at a time. It’s taken more than a decade for her to understand just how desperate she is to know Christ and how much she needs Him in every facet of her life. God has used some long, dark roads to teach her to turn to Him in every circumstance: whether it’s the dark nights of the soul that challenge every layer of her faith or the patches of joy that break through periods of waiting and longing with such brightness she can only attribute it to the faithful love of God.

Glenna is the author of two books, The Promise is His Presence: Why God is Always Enough (released August 1, 2019) and Everyday Faithfulness: The Beauty of Ordinary Perseverance in a Demanding World (set to release June 2020).
